Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Alevyn collects, uses, and protects information across our products and services. It covers the Alevyn platform and website, the Alevyn Capture mobile app, and Alevyn Command Center. The shared sections below apply to all of them. Information we collect
- Contact information you provide, such as name, email, phone number, company, and property details.
- Service data you submit for monitoring and alerting, such as property identifiers and review source URLs.
- Usage data and basic technical data, such as browser type and pages viewed, to help improve reliability and performance.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the service.
- Create, sync, and display the property records you and your team capture, and attribute them to the person who captured them and the reviewer who signed off.
- Produce the sealed, timestamped, tamper-evident records the service is built to provide.
- Send operational communications, including alerts and system notifications.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support.
- Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
- We use infrastructure and service providers to operate the service (for example, Supabase for our database and authentication, and email delivery providers for sign-in and password emails).
- Records are visible within your organization to the people whose roles include site, regional, asset, risk, procurement, or ownership responsibilities for that property.
- We may share information with other service providers who help operate the service, or where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Alevyn and its users.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Data retention and your choices
You can request a copy of your data or ask questions about deletion at any time by contacting support@alevyn.io. If you use Alevyn Capture, you can also delete your account from within the app. See the Alevyn Capture section below for how deletion and record retention work.
The sections below describe what each Alevyn product collects in addition to the shared baseline above.
Alevyn Capture (mobile app)
Alevyn Capture is our iOS/Android field app for documenting property incidents, hazards, and issues. This section describes what the app collects and how it is handled. It is in addition to the rest of this policy.
What the app collects
- Account information: your email address, your name (optional), and the property and role you are assigned to. Used to sign you in and to attribute the records you create.
- The records you create: photos, short videos, optional spoken or typed notes, the category/type you choose (e.g. hazard, incident, issue), and what you report about what happened, what was done, and who was involved.
- Precise location: when you capture a record, the app records the location of that capture so the record reflects where it happened. Location is only collected at the moment of a capture, while you are using the app.
- Camera and microphone: used only to take the photos/videos and optional voice notes you choose to capture.
- Device and sync data: basic technical data needed to queue captures on your device and sync them to your organization's account (including timestamps and a content fingerprint used to verify a record has not been altered).
Permissions and why
- Camera / Microphone: to capture photos, video, and optional voice notes you take.
- Location (while using the app): to stamp a capture with where it happened.
- Face ID / Touch ID: optional. Used only on your device to lock and unlock the app. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
Account deletion and data retention
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your login and personal information (your name and email).
Because Alevyn Capture produces records that may serve as evidence of what happened at a property, records you have already submitted and locked (“sealed”) are retained as part of that property's record even after you delete your account, but with your personal details removed, so the retained records no longer identify you. This retention exists to preserve the integrity and legal value of the property's record. If you want a copy of your data or have questions about deletion, contact support@alevyn.io.
Security
Sessions on the app are stored encrypted on your device, and access to records is controlled by your role and your organization. As described under Security above, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Alevyn Command Center
Alevyn Command Center is the web surface where leadership reviews, assigns, escalates, signs off on, and exports the records captured in the field. It runs on the shared baseline above. In addition, it processes:
- Exports and reports: the records, evidence packages, and reports you generate for review, sign-off, or export.
- Activity logging: a record of who viewed, assigned, escalated, or signed off on a property record, which forms part of the defensible, timestamped record the service provides.
Access to records and these actions is controlled by your role and your organization.
Website and SMS
If you opt in to SMS notifications, message frequency varies based on detected risk activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or email support@alevyn.io. For details, see SMS Notification Consent.
